Anemone City, Shark & Yolanda Reef
SS. Thistlegorm
Jackson Reef
Considered one of the best dives in the world by underwater photographers and experienced divers, this route begins at Anemone City, where dozens of giant anemones host playful clownfish families, giving this dive site its name. From there, you cross the deep blue between the reefs, with an apparently endless drop-off that leads to the spectacular multicolored coral wall of Shark Reef. Along the way, schools of tropical fish accompany us, creating a truly unmatched visual spectacle. Finally, we reach Yolanda Reef, where the remains of a sunken cargo ship blend with vibrant corals and rich marine life, completing one of the most unforgettable and well-rounded dives in the Red Sea.
The S.S. Thistlegorm is undoubtedly the most iconic wreck in the Red Sea and, for many, the most anticipated moment of the trip especially during our famous night dive. This ship was sunk in 1941 during World War II and has become a true underwater museum. Its structure hosts an incredible variety of marine life: schools of jackfish, tunas, batfish, nudibranchs, and crocodilefish, all covered in a blanket of colorful corals that enhance every corner. The wreck is easily accessible and allows for interior exploration, where you can still find rifles, motorcycles, trucks, and other remnants of the original cargo, offering a unique experience that connects us to its history and makes us feel part of it.
Jackson Reef is one of the most iconic dives in the Strait of Tiran and a true feast for the senses. Its abundance of corals, vertical walls covered in gorgonians, and the presence of fish of all sizes and colors make this dive an unforgettable experience. It’s common to encounter turtles swimming among coral gardens and, occasionally, white tip reef sharks. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a hammerhead shark on the northern side of the reef, adding a thrilling touch to this spectacular dive.
