Whether you are an experienced open water diver or are taking your first steps into the world of diving, the Northern Red Sea Route offers unforgettable experiences for everyone.

The itinerary of this route is impressive. The sailing is short, allowing you to enjoy quiet nights on the high seas and stunning landscapes such as the majestic Sinai Peninsula or the numerous islands with their lagoons and coral reefs.

Among the most notable diving spots are the spectacular reefs of the Strait of Tiran, where coral gardens will immerse you in an underwater world of fascinating colors and shapes.

You will enjoy the Ras Mohammed National Park where ocean currents transport nutrients and plankton, creating an environment conducive to the growth of hard and soft corals of exceptional beauty. Divers can delight in the abundant marine life, including schools of unicorn surgeonfish, turtles, and schools dancing around the reefs.

One of the highlights of the Northern Route is the opportunity to explore historic shipwrecks, such as the famous S.S. Thistlegorm, sunk during World War II and discovered by Jacques Cousteau in the 1950s. This underwater museum offers multiple diving opportunities, including night dives to discover the treasures it carried in its holds.

Additionally, the Tiran Strait Islands, located between the Sinai Peninsula and Saudi Arabia, offer some of the most famous diving in the Red Sea, with reefs such as Jackson, Thomas and Gordon Reef presenting different underwater environments and landscapes.

Featured dive points:

Anemone City, Shark & Yolanda Reef
SS. Thistlegorm
Jackson Reef
Considered one of the best dives in the world by underwater photographers and experienced divers, this route begins at Anemone City, where dozens of giant anemones host playful clownfish families, giving this dive site its name. From there, you cross the deep blue between the reefs, with an apparently endless drop-off that leads to the spectacular multicolored coral wall of Shark Reef. Along the way, schools of tropical fish accompany us, creating a truly unmatched visual spectacle. Finally, we reach Yolanda Reef, where the remains of a sunken cargo ship blend with vibrant corals and rich marine life, completing one of the most unforgettable and well-rounded dives in the Red Sea.
The S.S. Thistlegorm is undoubtedly the most iconic wreck in the Red Sea and, for many, the most anticipated moment of the trip especially during our famous night dive. This ship was sunk in 1941 during World War II and has become a true underwater museum. Its structure hosts an incredible variety of marine life: schools of jackfish, tunas, batfish, nudibranchs, and crocodilefish, all covered in a blanket of colorful corals that enhance every corner. The wreck is easily accessible and allows for interior exploration, where you can still find rifles, motorcycles, trucks, and other remnants of the original cargo, offering a unique experience that connects us to its history and makes us feel part of it.
Jackson Reef is one of the most iconic dives in the Strait of Tiran and a true feast for the senses. Its abundance of corals, vertical walls covered in gorgonians, and the presence of fish of all sizes and colors make this dive an unforgettable experience. It’s common to encounter turtles swimming among coral gardens and, occasionally, white tip reef sharks. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a hammerhead shark on the northern side of the reef, adding a thrilling touch to this spectacular dive.
