This week we shared the Red Sea with a group of divers coming mainly from the Canary Islands, joined by a few others from Madrid. But beyond where everyone came from, what truly defined these days was the connection that was created from the very first moment. It was one of those weeks where everything flows naturally. Laughter, endless conversations, shared stories, and the feeling that some people had known each other long before stepping aboard.
And if life on board was fantastic, the underwater experience was no less impressive. It seemed as if the stars aligned for this group from day one. During the check dive, they were lucky enough to encounter a guitar shark being chased by a grey reef shark, an unexpected and thrilling sighting that set the tone for a week full of memorable encounters.
Our route first took us to Ras Mohammed, before continuing on to the legendary SS Thistlegorm. Marine life and conditions were so good that we decided to add an extra dive in the area before heading towards the Straits of Tiran to finish the week in style.
Dive after dive, encounter after encounter, the sea rewarded us with moments that will be difficult to forget. As a perfect finale, a group of eagle rays appeared during the last dive of the week, bringing an unforgettable journey to a truly spectacular close. Summer in the Red Sea has something special about it. The days seem endless, and the afternoons stretch on with snacks, conversations on deck and sunsets that invite everyone to keep sharing stories while the sky slowly changes colour.
Among all the memories from this trip, we especially remember the encounter with the guitar sharks and grey reef shark during the check dive, as well as the final night dive of the week. Two moments that perfectly capture what this trip was all about: unexpected, exciting and impossible to forget.
Now it is time to say goodbye, exchange the last photos, share the final hugs and make promises of future adventures together.
