Another week full of surprises comes to an end.
We’ve been lucky enough to share these days with several friends who, as they do every summer, return to the Red Sea with us, as well as new companions joining us from different parts of Spain. A perfect combination that, as always, has ended up creating an amazing group both in and out of the water.
Ras Mohammed National Park has once again shown us why it is one of the most spectacular diving destinations on the planet. Its reefs were bursting with life: huge schools of fish, barracudas, unicornfish, sweetlips, batfish and several turtles that joined us during our dives.
And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, a majestic devil ray appeared to welcome us on the first dive of the morning, giving us one of those unforgettable moments that make you use up a few extra bars of air!
In the Straits of Tiran, the excitement continued with two separate encounters with whitetip reef sharks, as elegant and calm as ever.
As if all that wasn’t enough, at the end of one of our dives we were treated to the beautiful sight of two eagle rays, gliding together in a courtship display over the blue and providing the perfect ending to an already unforgettable dive.
We also returned to the legendary Thistlegorm, where we managed to organise our dives so that we could enjoy all three dives completely on our own. A true privilege considering that this is one of the most famous and visited wrecks in the world.
The afternoons didn’t disappoint either. A family of dolphins decided to spend some time with us, giving us one of those encounters that brings a smile to everyone’s face, whether it’s their first time experiencing it or they’ve been coming back to the Red Sea for years.
Now our fellow travellers are heading home. Some will continue their adventure, discovering the wonders of ancient Egypt and exploring incredible places such as Luxor, Aswan and Cairo.
