This week has been truly special. We followed the Shark Expedition route with Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone, one of the most spectacular in the Red Sea. Although the wind didn’t always make it easy, every dive rewarded us with unique moments full of adrenaline and excitement. We experienced an unforgettable encounter with a silky shark that curiously approached our boat, enjoyed pristine coral walls in some of Egypt’s most untouched reefs, and shared the blue with more than ten turtles on a single dive - a truly unforgettable experience.
During the hours of navigation, there was also time to get to know each other better, share laughter and conversations, and even for some to prepare for their upcoming exams. We especially want to highlight Diego’s attitude, who even brought his study notes to the Red Sea; we are sure that his dedication and passion for nature will make him a great marine biologist.
We also explored every corner of the Salem Express wreck, a dive filled with history and emotion. But without a doubt, the most magical moment came when we swam alongside one of the few remaining dugongs in the Red Sea — first during a snorkel, and later, to our surprise, as it calmly rested during our final dive.
It has been a wonderful week, full of laughter, adventures, and unforgettable moments with a warm group of friends from Madrid, Murcia, and the Basque Country. We say goodbye with great affection today, already dreaming of the moment we’ll meet again.
