What an absolutely incredible week we’ve had! The Classic North Route never disappoints; in fact, somehow it manages to surprise us even more every time.

We started in Ras Mohammed, and honestly, we don’t know what’s happening in the National Park this year. The days when marine life seemed to concentrate around specific spots appear to be long gone, giving way to dives where, quite literally, you come out of the water completely amazed. Corals in a thousand different shapes and colours, huge schools of fish that let you get so close you almost become part of them… a true spectacle for the senses.

As always, the Thistlegorm never disappoints. This underwater museum truly deserves to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And this week’s dolphin encounter was, without a doubt, one of the best we’ve experienced in recent years — and that’s saying something! Great visibility, completely alone, and surrounded by a large number of particularly playful dolphins, interacting with all of us until it was time for them to have some privacy, when we knew to give them the space and tranquillity they deserved. Simply incredible doesn’t even begin to describe it.

In the Straits of Tiran, we enjoyed the incredible abundance of marine life on its reefs and some unforgettable encounters: at both Woodhouse and Jackson Reef, we were lucky enough to encounter hammerhead sharks. Moments of pure excitement. The week came to an end with a very special final dive, surrounded by a school of tiny fish so dense that they formed a living cloud around us. For a moment, we all thought some giant creature might suddenly appear through them… but you always have to leave something for next time.

A special mention goes to our friend Mayka Navarro, who prepared a daily onboard diary throughout the week, sharing the experience day by day with that very special touch that only she knows how to give it. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone for this incredible week, which absolutely flew by. Weeks like this make our job a real pleasure.
