Liveaboard Only

For years we have offered a full package with flights included, highly valued for its convenience, peace of mind, and excellent rates thanks to our weekly departures. However, more and more divers now wish to join the expeditions without flights. That’s why we have enabled in our booking system the new "liveaboard only" option.

Why this new option?

Although we still recommend the full package for all the advantages it offers (including up to 30 kg checked luggage and full coordination), we understand that some divers prefer to arrange their own flights, taking advantage of the different low-cost airlines flying to Sharm with stopovers in Europe. We want to give you flexibility without losing clarity.

What does "liveaboard only" mean?

For all our Red Sea departures, you can now book the "liveaboard only" option online in a simple and transparent way. Since it is not a full package, it is important to review the requirements that we detail below.

Requirements and recommendations before boarding

Travel insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing travel, assistance, and cancellation insurance. Holidays are a dream but also a significant expense; insurance protects you against unexpected medical issues, delays, or cancellations.

Entry visa for Egypt:
To board, authorities require that your passport carries a valid tourist visa. The free visas for hotel stays in Sharm or Hurghada are not valid for liveaboard trips. The quickest and easiest way is to obtain the Visa On Arrival (VOA) at Sharm, Hurghada, or Cairo airports. Avoid websites with high fees or unreliable procedures.

Transfers in and out: We offer free group transfers if your flight schedule matches the main group’s package. If not, you can use taxis or apps like Uber. Always agree on the price before boarding to avoid extra charges.

Documentation: We will send you the documents to print and sign. We prefer you have them in advance to review carefully and avoid surprises onboard (for example, if you require a medical certificate to dive). Our goal is transparency, so you arrive ready to relax in your cabin after a long trip.

Boarding and disembarkation times

Check-in (boarding): from Saturday 23:00 until Sunday 05:00.

Check-out (disembarkation): from Friday 18:00 until Saturday 08:00.

Information confirmed a few days before departure

Ports: We operate from several ports in Sharm and Hurghada. Usually we embark at Marina Travco (Sharm) and Old Sheraton Marina (Hurghada), but due to traffic or permits this may change. We will confirm the exact port a few days before departure so you can plan your arrival without issues.

Guides onboard: You will usually be accompanied by Mark & Victoria, although in some weeks one of them may be leading another expedition (for example, in the Maldives).

The pre-trip contact will always be through our central agency, since guides are often at sea without constant internet access. To make communication smoother, we will share their contacts a few days before departure so you can coordinate your arrival at the port.

Remember: port entry requires authorization. We handle this for you.

Flights: We will request your arrival and departure flight details to keep track of your stay and notify you of any last-minute changes (port, check-in flexibility, etc.).

Conclusion

The "liveaboard only" option gives you the freedom to arrange your flights and join our expeditions easily. If you prefer a worry-free experience, the full package remains the most convenient choice. In both cases, our goal is for you to enjoy a memorable, safe, and stress-free Red Sea diving experience.
