We’ve just returned from an intense week in Fuvahmulah, one of those trips that keeps your heart racing from day one. We came back to this wild island in the south of the Maldives with a clear goal: to find its true stars… and, as always, they did not disappoint.
The tiger sharks set the rhythm of the week. Seeing them up close — calm, majestic, commanding both respect and admiration — never loses its impact, no matter how many times you experience it. Dive after dive, they were there, reminding us why Fuvahmulah has become a must-visit destination for those who dream of real encounters. But it wasn’t all about adrenaline: the reefs showed us their best side too, bursting with color, life, and movement. Turtles resting among corals, schools of fish surrounding us, and that constant feeling of diving in a truly authentic ocean, raw and untouched.
Above the surface, the experience was just as powerful. Dinners stretched long into the night, filled with laughter, dive stories, and that special bond that only forms when you share intense underwater moments. We visited the mud baths, ending up literally covered from head to toe, and took time to soak in the local culture, walking through the village and discovering the true essence of the island.
And of course, our motorbike adventures. Riding around Fuvahmulah on two wheels, along wild beaches and quiet roads, feeling free and just a little rebellious, has already become an essential part of the trip. Those spontaneous rides, with no plan other than to explore, gave us some of the best laughs of the week.
It was one of those weeks that passes far too quickly. Tiger sharks, vibrant reefs, turtles, mud, motorbikes, endless dinners, and a group that gave it their all. We leave with the feeling of having experienced Fuvahmulah in its purest form… and with the certainty that we’ll be back very soon.
